International Baccalaureate Leadership Program

The International Baccalaureate (IB) Student Leadership Program is focused on preparing students for the IB Diploma Program and to be leaders within their schools. Activities will address the IB Learner Profile and how these qualities relate to leadership. All activities will be focused on encouraging students 1) to create an action plan for leadership, and 2) to better set them up for success in the rigorous Diploma Program.

Itinerary
Day 1: Friday, November 11 (Leadership Foundations) – Students will arrive at Keystone Science School at 6:00 pm (a van will be provided for students departing Colorado Mills at 4:30 pm). Students will participate in a program orientation receive a tour of the Keystone Science School campus. Students will also explore foundational concepts of leadership and apply them to their education and their everyday learning environment. 

Day 2: Saturday, November 12 (Leadership Application) – Students will participate in a series of leadership-based activities and apply them to an action plan to be documented and used throughout their Diploma Program experience. The IB Learner Profile will be referenced in the both the concepts explored and each student's plan.

Day 3: Sunday, November 13 (Determining Action) – Students will take the key components learned throughout the program and apply them to an action plan that can be later reflected upon during their Diploma Plan. Each student will be asked to share key components of their plan with other students and attending adults. The program will adjourn at noon.

Overnight Accommodations and Meals
The overnight accommodations include dorm accommodations at Keystone Science School. All meals will be prepared and by KS
   
Fees
Students: $100 per person. This includes registration, meals, dorm-style sleeping accommodations, meeting space, and instruction.

Teachers or parent chaperones: $75 per person.

There is an additional cost of $300 per van for transportation to and from Colorado Mills. We can accommodate up to 10 students per van.
