Phaedra Demers, Program Coordinator, School Groups Program
Phaedra is originally from a small town in central Vermont, where she attended a one-room school house. She earned a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Studies from St. Lawrence University. Being a bird nerd at heart, she has conducted research and monitoring of different bird species in Vermont, Massachusetts, south Texas, Colorado, and northwestern Kansas. She has also taught environmental/outdoor education in Colorado, Wisconsin, and Michigan.
In her free time Phaedra loves being outside doing activities such as birding, telemark skiing, hiking, and playing in the mountains. She also has a serious yarn addiction, and has knit far too many hats to count. Her favorite color is orange like the center of the sun and one of her biggest fears is being attacked by flying monkeys.
