Mike Hughes, Vice President & Director, Center for Science & Public Policy

Michael Hughes is the Vice-President and Director of The Keystone Center for Science and Public Policy. He is a mediator and trainer with 16 years experience in public policy mediation, workplace mediation and mediator training. In recent years, he has mediated long-standing conflicts over transportation, land use, air quality and health policy. He has conducted regulatory negotiations, policy dialogues and site-specific mediations at the local, state and federal level.

Mike holds a Master’s degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania, worked as a planner in local government and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Denver magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
