NEW! Check out our Education in Action Program
Our School Programs provide interactive theme-based science education that complements classroom curricula. We apply science concepts, team-building, and scientific research according to the specific needs of each group, challenging students to develop critical thinking skills while exploring science education at our beautiful mountain campus or locations throughout Colorado.
Each of the academic themes we offer is aligned with Colorado Science Standards for Kindergarten through 12th grades. Depending on the length of the chosen program, one or more themes may be studied. Teachers are encouraged to choose a theme that aligns with the curriculum currently being studied in the classroom, and we work with each group to develop a personalized learning experience specifically aligned with classroom objectives. We provide pre- and post-trip lessons that help students arrived prepared, and continue the learning experience after they leave.
Standard Components of Our School Programs
Scientific Inquiry. We offer a spectrum of approaches to teaching the scientific process. Science is made accessible to all academic levels, with learning opportunities that range from informal exploratory investigations to thorough student- or project-driven research projects that incorporate the scientific method, research techniques, technology, and analysis.
Non-Biased Approach. Students learn critical thinking skills in the contextual model of the environment to learn new perspectives.
Team-Building. We use team building activities to inspire positive and productive communication skills, break through social barriers, and to incorporate trust, camaraderie, and fun into the learning environment.
Community Responsibility: On our campus facilities, students are expected to take responsibility for their own belongings, participate in cabin and bathroom cleanup, and assist with serving and clean-up of meals in the dining hall. All of these activities give students the opportunity to practice inclusive behavior, forge new friendships, and learn new social skills.
Cross-Country Skiing and/or Snowshoeing (seasonal). These activities are part of winter programs at our campus. We provide step-by-step instruction on the basics of cross-country skiing or snowshoeing and conduct winter program field courses on skis or snowshoes.

“Your science programs tie nicely into our state assessment programs. As a result, we are able to connect multiple lessons to our own district curriculum and enhance their overall education and preparation for the CSAP. I think this is an extremely well-designed program and educational institution”
